Radiant Health Program Dietary Guidelines:

The program endorses a high protein, limited carbohydrate diet. Carbohydrates are typically found in such foods as bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, candy, etc. Essentially, the constituents of food not proteins or fat are usually carbohydrates. Different foods have different levels of carbohydrates. For example, potatoes have a much higher level than broccoli. Most carbohydrates are processed by the body and turned into glucose, which is sugar. Foods high in sucrose, another form of sugar, should also be kept to a minimum.

Therefore, foods that contain a high amount of carbohydrates (5 grams equals 1 teaspoon of sugar) or a high amount of sugar should be minimized. Along with a focus on protein, we also recommend fruits and vegetables that are lower in carbohydrates. The program recommends trying to maintain a total daily intake of sugar of no more than 12 teaspoons or that equivalent.

Simple Exercise:

Generally, all forms of exercise are good for the body, as long as it does not produce an inordinate amount of stress on the body. We recommend moderate exercise such as walking 30 minutes per day, 3 days per week. If time allows, additional exercise is always beneficial. Make sure you have the appropriate clothing when exercising and if exercising strenuously drink enough water or other suitable liquids. Remember, you should consult your doctor before beginning any new extended exercise program.

Following the above guidelines of the Radiant Health Program will help you support a healthier lifestyle and reward you with the many benefits of living radiantly healthy through nutritional science that makes sense!
